DJ Arek, also known as Shane Wilder is a renaissance man as a writer, actor, and musician. A joy of his is dancing, specializing in hip-hop, but also trained in ballet, modern, and African. Shane is a creative director so when it comes to directing events turning them into movies is what happens! Behind his diverse experience Shane is a Man of God and a Father – "I fell in love with hip-hop, I got the taste of music from my mother."

Fast forward to the pandemic: Shane began studying the art of DJing and what it means and he says, "it was like morphing everything I’ve learned into a performance that is meant to curate you to dance and vibe out to the sound you love! I invested in DJ equipment to take my craft to a professional level and utilize music to bring people together."

He chose to focus entirely on DJing, and it has opened doors he never imagined. From working with the AKA sorority to traveling all-expenses-paid to Atlanta and Chicago, Shane has had the opportunity to use music to bridge the gap between students and teachers. He says, "None of this would have happened if I hadn’t committed to mastering the art and true meaning of DJing."
